"There are some nice people in the world, you know, I just don’t happen to be related to any of them.” – Little Edie
Featuring Jeri Lynn Schulke as the older Edie in Act 1, and the young Edie in Act 2.
Based on the 1975 documentary of the same name, "Grey Gardens" is a funny, poignant and moving musical that introduces us to Little Edie Beale and her mother, Big Edie. Once part of high society and courted by Howard Hughes and J. Paul Getty, Little Edie lives proudly with her mother in abject poverty and filth in a twenty-eight room dilapidated mansion with innumerable cats and racoons.
Witness the spectacular life and decline of Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter Little Edie, with the same actress playing the mother role in Act One, and the daughter role in Act Two.
